(Fargesia scabrida) A new variety with erect purple stems that mature to crimson red canes. Renowned as being one of the more upright Fargesia varieties. Best in full sun to partial shade in moist soils. Grows to two metres but can be kept to one metre. As with all Fargesia bamboo the Asian Volcano has very little spread.

Understanding Sizes

Displaying the size of the bamboo can be confusing, there are two sizes to be aware of, the size we deliver to you, and the size the bamboo grows to. The size shown by the 'Add to basket' button, is the size we deliver to you, this is what will arrive on your doorstep. For example if the size states [18 litre pot, 1.8m tall - £49.95 you will receive a lovely bamboo plant in a 18 litre pot measuring at least 1.8m above the pot, and it will cost £49.95. 

The 'other' height, the height the bamboo will grow to, is shown in the bamboo description.

Also the physical size of the pots the bamboo comes in can be confusing an 18 litre pot is 30cm x 26cm which is roughly the size of a bucket.

UK mainland delivery is £19.95 per order

 If you would like a specific day for delivery please let us know, (we can deliver Tuesday to Friday).

Please bear in mind you do not have to be in when the order arrives as the carriers will not require a signature. But the carriers will only leave the order at the property if no one is in if they feel it is safe to do so.
